People Are Drinking a Lot More When "Locked Up" in Their Homes
by RubaDub init was amusing the other evening on the local news to see the increase of drinking due likely to people having to basically stay at home.. the news crew went out on recycle day in a couple of areas during the week.
they showed the general neighborhoods (but not the specific houses).
the reporter walked down the street and looked into the recycle bins.

Most grocery stores here in the UK sell booze, from cheap cider to hard liquor. To be honest it's easier to buy the hard stuff because it gets you where you want to go quicker. As long as you can afford it of course.

Does prophesy negate free will?
by Tim207 innot sure if this is in the right subject but here it goes.
i’ve asked this question to a few elders and bethelites but they don’t seem to understand or like the question.
to start off we have to agree that jehovah is all powerful.

Jehovah Tells “From the Beginning the Finale”The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom—200617. Why can we say that Jehovah’s exercise of foreknowledge is selective?
17 Jehovah apparently chose not to foresee what Adam—and Eve—would do, even though He has the ability to know everything in advance. It is therefore a question, not of whether Jehovah can foresee the future, but of whether he chooses to do so. Furthermore, we can reason that Jehovah, being a God of love, would not knowingly and cruelly predetermine that rebellion—with all its sad consequences—should take place. (Matthew 7:11; 1 John 4:8) Thus, as far as Jehovah’s exercise of foreknowledge is concerned, it is selective.
A bit like having a selective memory if questioned by the police I suppose.... 😉

by Simon insome light entertainment ... there are apparently 39 beatles songs hidden in the picture, but depending on how to interpret some of them you may come up with more.. please post one each, to give everyone a go, and describe where the song is in the picture (so it's not just coming up with a list of beatles songs).
also, check for existing answers - i'll post summaries to show the ones already identified.. .

I know I have posted already, but I showed it to a friend who said that the men at work had to be Dig It from their Let It Be album.
Since I wouldn't have got that and he did - this post is for him, if that's OK.

I remember we were discussing predestination at the KH once, and an older elder produced a WT which said that Jehovah has the ability of foreknowledge but - wait for it - He can choose not to use it.
So somehow Jehovah blanks out his super ability to know the outcome of each person's actions.
I didn't get it then, and I definitely don't get it now. Usual WT gobbledegook when they want to appear intelligent but don't know the answer either.

I laughed when I read that article where it said that those who are anointed do not search out other anointed ones and gather together as a select group separate from the congregation to discuss the bible together.
(Paragraph 7) "Anointed Christians do not feel that they should spend time only with other anointed ones, as if they were members of an exclusive club. They do not search out other anointed ones, hoping to discuss their anointing with them or to form private groups for Bible study."
But wait a minute! Isn't that exactly what the Governing Body members do!?
And then wait for it...." We should not treat anointed ones or any others who take the lead as though they were celebrities."(See paragraph 8)
Again has anyone broken this apparent new light to the individual Governing Body members who appear in numerous selfies taken by their fans at all the conventions they are flown in for.
A clear case of "do as I say and not do as I do." -

Wasn't there a Question From Readers a lot of years ago where they said that while they were the channel Jehovah was using, they were not channelling the information in the same way that spiritists talk about channeling dead people.
But obviously they genuinely believe that they are getting directed by people previously alive on earth but who have now moved on. Go figure!
